I'm OB-sessed with my Camel Hair coat I purchased at Brooks Brothers last winter. It's such a staple piece to have and with Brooks Brothers' reputation of clothing that last for a while, I'm sure I will wear this coat for many years to come. The price was a little steep, but this is an investment piece that can be worn over and over, season after season. I seriously wear this coat more often than not.
The coat is made of Loro Piana wool, which is an Italian company originally from Trivero, Italy, specializing in luxurious wool and cashmere. It's super warm and lightweight and it features Loro Piana's Rain System, which makes it water repellent (aka ideal for any weather).
I was actually looking forward to winter just so I can finally wear it! I remember one time in the fall, the weather was 52 degrees, so it wasn't freezing, but that didn’t stop me. I wore the coat with a mock neck dress, thigh high boots and a scarf. Brian looked at me and said, "You look like you're ready for the winter!" Needless to say, I had to change into a different coat because I started sweating!
I've listed 3 ways you can rock a Camel Hair coat:
1. All Dolled-up
This coat can be worn if you're going on a dinner date with the babe or a night out with the ladies.
2. Casual Affairs
Throw this coat on if you're about to run some errands or grab coffee with a friend for an effortless look.
3. Actively Chic
I personally sweat a lot, so I don't wear this coat when I do high intensity workouts. However, I do wear it post yoga or if I'm just wearing workout clothes to make it look like I'm ready to workout, but really hang out!
With the temps dropping, I know for sure that this coat will keep me warm and chic at the same time with any outfit I wear. What's your favorite coat to wear during the winter season?
