The Club by George Foreman III (Everybody Fights)

It's no surprise why The Club by George Foreman III aka Everybody Fights in Southie was named Best Gym in Boston by Boston Magazine in 2015 and 2016. The place is a mix of badass and bougie at the same time. It's clean and modern with a warehouse-y feel. The classes offered? 110% amazing! No matter who's class I've taken in the past, I always leave looking like I got caught in the rain and wanting more.

I've taken classes taught by the guys before; G3, Shane, Chris, Kevin, Dave, Edward and Ike and, like I've said, always a great workout! I've also taken a Kick It class by Eliza Shirazi which is a 13 round kickboxing-ish class driven by music and had me feeling like I was out of shape 2 rounds in. Yesterday, however, was my first time hitting the bags with Sam Burke!

Fight swag with Sam and Mary Ann

My friend Mary Ann came to Boston from New York for the weekend and wanted to get together. My idea of getting together is either stuffing our faces or getting a good sweat sesh. I decided to take her to EBF and she fell in love! Her and I woke up early to get our butts in there to take Sam's 8:30AM class. I didn't go out Saturday night, so I had no excuse to sleep in. The class she taught was Bags+Kicks. I've taken Bags+Body, Train360 and Road+Triathlon in the past and none of those consist of kicking. Her class definitely put me to work!

Bags+Kicks has the same concept as most Bags classes - 12 rounds of death... I mean work! 3 minutes per round of non-stop action. I walked into the gym with Stephanie, one of the EBF members, and asked how Sam's class is and she said that she's tough and hard but good! Oy vey! Tough, hard but good was correct! Will I take her class again? ABSOLUTELY and I give her class 5 baddie stars without any hesitation! Way to kick off my Sunday!

You guys must be thinking that I'm probably obsessed with this place because I'm getting certified to teach here. Well, the reason I received the opportunity to get certified was when I decided to check the place out through Class Pass and fell in love. That's how I met G3 (George Foreman III) and the rest of the EBF trainers. They're all so friendly and passionate about what they do and you can tell so by how they teach! They offer 3 free classes within a 7 day expiration to first time members on their website. I say check them out for yourselves!
